... הממשלה הסכימה להמלצתו, ודנה עליה בישיבתה מ־22 ו״24 במאי 1848. שר האוצר, הברון פיליס קרויס, שהיה יליד לבוב והכיר יפה את מצב היהודים בגליציה, טען כי יש לצפות שהפרלמנט יבטל בקרוב את המסים היהודיים, אולם נוכח המצב הכספי של הממשלה קשה לוותר על הכנסה של 80.000 פל, לשנה. לפי הצעתו החליט הקבינט להמשיך בגביית המסים עד סוף 1848, כדי שהאוצר לא יצטרך להסתבך במשפטי־פיצויים עם חוכרי־המס. הדבר לא היה מנוגד לחוקת 25 באפריל 1848 15), שקבעה זכות הכרעה סופית לפרלמנט, שעמד להתכנס בוינה.Connected nodes
