... המלך אוגוסט ווו הביע במכתבו אל הוויבודה אדם
צארטוריסקי מיום 20 בנובמבר 1735 את התמרמרותו,
שפרנסי קהלות־הגליל מתפרדים מקהילת־לבוב, ונתן
הוראה, שעליהם להכיר ברבה של לבוב כרב־הגליל
ואסור להם להפסיק את הקשר עם לבוב*) . אולם גם
מכתב המלך לא הועיל. באותה שנה בחרו פרנסי ועד־
הגליל את הרב מזולקיב, ר׳ יצחק בן צבי לנדא,
חתנו של ד״ר עמנואל די־יונה, כרב הגליל. בשנים
1714—1729 היה רב באופטוב, מקום מגוריו של אביו
ר׳ צבי, ומשנת 1729 שימש ברבנות בזולקיב. גם
אחרי הבחרו לרב־הגליל התגורר בזולקיב. מובן שלבוב
