במקום הוקם הבנין מספר 39 ובית־מדרש חדש
(מספר 41). בבית האחרון (מספר 43) היה בית־הספר
לנערות ע״ש המטיף אברהם כהן. אחרי ארגון רשת־
החינוך של בתי־הספר היהודיים בשנת 1860, היה בו
בית־ספר עממי כללי, ובשנת 1899 בית־ספר עממי
לנערות, בהנהלתו של המלומד הידוע ד״ר הבריק
ביגלאייזן (נכדו של ר׳ נחמן קרוכמל) ואח״כ בהנהלת
