היהודי שייסד את גדוד־המתנדבים היהידי בוארשה
בימי המרד של קושציושקי (1794). בהיותו בלבוב,
בספטמבר 1796, פנה ברק יוסלביץ אל הגוברנטור
גראף גאיסרוק בתזכיר. בו הציע לממשלת אוסטריה
— שהייתה אז במצב של מלחמה נגד צרפת —
להקים חטיבה צבאית יהודית של 6000 — 8000 חיילים,
לשרות במלחמה נגד הצרפתים. בהזכירו מסר תכנית
