... הבלשים היו מרכזים את המיועדים לטרנספורטי־
המות אחרי כל בדיקה וחיפוש בבית־הכלא של ד׳גיטו,
עד אשר נתמלא המספר הדרוש לשם משלוח. בית־
הסוהר נמצא תחילה ברחוב וויז׳ביצקי 25 בפרבר
קליפרוב, אך אחרי שחלק הפרבר, שכמעט נתרוקן
מאדם, בגלל השריפות והאקציות התדירות, הועבר
לרחוב וויסנהוף 15. נהוג היה, לעשות ״פינוי״ בבית־
הכלא אחת לשבוע, ואז הוסעו האסירים למקום
ההשמדה שנמצא ב״חולות״ (פיאסקי) שעיו־י ד בית־
הקברות ברחוב יאנובסקא, או שהובלו ליער בליסי־ניצה.
הבטוי ״הוא נשלח לחולות״ היה פירושו: הוא
