התחלף לטנור. למד מוסיקה בקונסרבטוריון בלבוב.
ב־1929 עבר לוינה והמשיך ללמוד שם בקונסרבטוריון
את מקצועות המוסיקה, ואצל מילר למד חזנות. היה
חזן בביהכנ״ס הקט! "מקדש מעט" אשר ברובו השני
בוינה, אח״כ בפרשבורג ודברצין. ב־1937 קיבל צו
גרוש מטעם שלטונות המדינה. עבר לאנגליה, כיהן
בסאותפורט כחזן במשך שלוש שנים והוזמן למנצ׳סט
לביהכנ״ס הגדול. משם עלה לא״י ומכהן כעת בתור
