ובמזגו החם דמה לזולצר רבו, והמנגנים קראו לו
"זולצר הרוסי". היילפרן נתמנה לחזן בהיכל הניקו־
לאיובי בחרסון.
מחרסון הגיע היילפרן ללבוב וב־18 באוגוסט 1886
נתקבל כחזן ב״היכל", שם כיהן בתפקידו כעשרים
וחמש שנים רצופות, והיה מכובד מאד ואהוב אצל
הקהל ואצל כל ידידיו. היילפרן שמע יפה עברית,
גרמנית וצרפתית, היה רוהט בתוי־נגינה, כתב באידית
שירים עם מנגינות. היה חזן קלאסי. הוציא גם אוסף
שירים: ״דער לידער־קראנץ״, אודיסה, 1889. ...Connected nodes
