אחד הרחובות הראשיים המובילים צפונה־מערבה
מלבוב הוא רחוב יאנובסקא׳ שנקרא כך על שם קרבתו
לעיר היאנוב (׳\\ 306 |) הגרמנים שינו את שמו ל״רחוב
מערבי" (וועסט־שטראסע"). ברחוב יאנובסקא מס׳
132—134 היה בית־חרושת למכונות־טחינה, שהשתייך
לחברת ייצור־מכונות שבעליה היו יהודים — שטיינהויז
ושותפיו. בתקופת שלטון הסובייטים הוחרם בית־
החרושת על־סמך חוק הסוציאליזציה׳ וסופח אל רשת
התעשיה של המיניסטריון לתחבורה. (בית־חרושת מספר
56 של המיניסטריון לתחבורה). בתקופת הכיבוש
העירוני, וכעבור שבועות מספר להנהלת הס.ס. בלבוב.
הגרמני עבר בית־החרושת ראשונה לרשות השלטון
קצין הס.ס. וולפגנג פון מוהוויג (31> 101 ״1 ! 01 ^) נתמנה
מנהל בית־החרושת׳ אך כעבור זמן קצר בא במקומו
קצין הס.ס. פריץ גבויאר, א* ש צעיר כבן 30 - מברלין,
שהיה פקיד של הפירמה סימנט ושוקרט (316016115
3011010614) בברלין. מראהו החיצוני של גבויאר היה
נעים׳ ונראה היה כאדם "אהוד ואדיב בדבורו ובהליכו--
תיו" בתי המלאכה שברחוב יאנובסקא התחילו בייצור
