1943 במחנה הס.ס. ברחוב צ׳ווארטעגדליסוטופדא 56,
אחד הפועלים היהודים (לפי השמועות — המהנדס־
בנאי קוטונובסקי) הרג שוטר ס.ס. שהצטיין באכזריות ו
(שמו — קיל׳ לפי עדות שנגבתה). למחרת המעשה
באו הגרמנים אל אולם הקהילה היהודית ברח׳ לוקעטעק
והוקיעו על גזוזטרות הבית שנים־עשר או אחד־עשר,
יהודים, בתוכם קציני מיליציה (העו״ד ד״ר מאהלר
ומאנדל). אך גם בזאת לא הסתפקו. באותו יום ערך
מפקד ה״יו־לאג״ גז׳ימעק מפקד־בחינה. למעלה מאלף
יהודים "נבחרו" ונשלחו להורג אל ה״חולות". עד
