... מבין יהודי לבוב ידוע גם הסיטונאי שכנא יבנו יוסף. שכנא עמד בקשרי מסחר עם סוחרים יהודים מביצנץ ואיטליה, שהשתקעו בקאפא (בקרים) וניהלו משם מסחר תדהיקף עם פולין. אחד מהם, כלב, שבא ללבוב בשנת 1442, הקים פה סניף. בתעודות קוראים לו: קאלף יודאאוס דה קאפא אליאס דה ליאופולי.
