כמעט כל המלמדים היו חולשות משלהם. מלמדי
"דרדקא" תלו על הקיר פרגולים (שבט־מוסר) מעין דחלילים
להפחדת הזאטוטים. אהרן ה״קוציובינציקאי" לא שתה סתם כוס
תה, אלא היה סובא מתוך ספל עמוק המכיל ארבע כוסות בבת
אחת עם קובית סוכר אחת בלבד. שלמה ה״חרש" היה נוהג לבקר
בשבתות אצל הורי תלמידיו ה״בעלי־בתים" כפי שקרא להם,
ותמיד במכוון, בשעת סעודת הצהרים לעת אכילת ה״קוגל"
(הפשטידה"). הוא להוט היה במיוחד אחרי "קוגל" מתוק, אבל גם
