ב-1915 נכבשה סוקולקה בידי הצבא הגרמני שהתקדם
בשלשה ראשים. גוש אחד נכנס לעיר דרך רחוב ביאליסטוק, גוש שני התקדם אל פסי הרכבת וגוש שלישי
ליד בית-הקברות היהודי. כל העיר נתנה שבח והודיה
לאל שהתפטרו מן הקוזאקים הרוסים, הרוצחים, האנשים
