תורני מושך בעט סופרים, מקורב לרבנים-גאונים וגם
למשכילים וסופרים. בילדותו ובבחרותו גר עם אביו
בסוקולקה והיה שולח קורספונדנציות לעתונים העברים
"המליץ" ו״הצפירה". גם בהיותו מתגורר בביאליסטוק
וערים אחרות התענין במצב יהודי סוקולקה והיה מבקר
בה אצל בני משפחתו ומודיע בעתונות על ענינים מיוחדים
