שקיימו מצוות של ביקור-חולים ועזרת חולים בעיר.
בבית-הכנסת הגדול היו עורכים תפילה רק בקיץ, באין
בו תנורים התפללו בחורף רק בבתי-המדרש. בבית
המדרש החדש ("דער נייער בית-המדרש") התפללו לרוב
העשירים ובני המעמד הבינוני. בבית המדרש השלישי,
"בית המדרש הישן" (דער אלטער בית המדרש) הת-
פללו בעלי-מלאכה וסתם פועלים. בבית המדרש הרביעי,
בית-המדרש "שולחן ערוך", שברחוב אוליצקי, התפללו
בעירבוב תחומין העשירים, בני המעמד הבינוני וגם
בעלי-מלאכה. בית-המדרש החמישי היה ב״פורשטדט",
