הרב ר׳ יצחק שוסטר היה רב פעילים בארגון הציבור הדתי החרדי גם לאחר שנות המלחמה הראשונה. שלא כדרך חותנו הרב ר׳ נחום גרינהויז, ממייסדי "המזרחי" בווילנה בשנת תרס״ב (1902), נטה הוא לחוג החרדים שהתרכזו בתנועת "אגודת ישראל" ואף השתתף בוועידתה העולמית הראשונה בציריך, בשוויץ, בשבט תרע״ט. הוא והגאון ר׳ אברהם דובער כהנא-שפירא אב״ד קובנה היו השניים היחידים מיהדות ליטא שהשתתפו בוועידה זו.Connected nodes
