מניים בשיטת "צוואנגס-שולע" (לימוד חובד.). יד.ודי
סוקולקה קבלו את הגזירד. של בתי-הספר הגדמניים
במרירות ובזעם. אנשי העיר שהיו דתיים לאומיים
לא יכלו להשלים, שילדיד.ם ינותקו מהלימודים המסו-
רתיים. אבל היו חסרי-אונים להתנגד לגזירת הגרמנים,
לפי הוראת השלטון היו צריכים לסגור את כל בתי-
הספר וד.חדרים ואת התלמוד-תורד. ולשלוח את ילדי
היד.ודים לבתי-ספר גרמניים.
בנין בי.ת-ד.ספ ר היד. במחנד. הצבאי הרוסי, מחוץ-לעיר,
בדרך לקרינקי. השלטון הגרמני החרים עוד את כל
הציוד של בתי-הספר ותלמוד תורד.. את הספסלים ואת
הלוחות את השולחנות וד.כסאות. אנשי עירנו לא השלימו
עם הגזירה, והמשיכו לחנך וללמוד תורה ודת לילדי
העיר ללא ספסלים ושולחנות.
נפתחו שני בתי-ספר גרמנים. אחד לילדי ד.יר.ודי ם
וד.שני לילדי הנוצרים. מנהל בית-הספר היד. בורקובסקי,
לא איש-סוקולקד., חתנו של מאיר בובריק. הוא פתח
קורסים לעברי.ת, וגם בבית-הספר הגרמני החדיר את
האהבה לציונות. בכל שעור זימרד. שד.י ה כמובן בשפה
