... ר׳ חיים מאיר שמול ז״ל עסק בתורה יומם ולילה,
התפלל ב״שולחן־ערוך בית־מדרש" ברחוב אוליצקי
ובכל יום, בין מנחה למעריב, למד עם קהל מתפללים
דף גמרא ודיני "שולחן־ערוך". יהודי סוקולקה שתו
בצמא כל מלה שיצאה מפיו. היה מעורב עם הבריות
וחביב על כל מתפללי בית־המדרש. בטוב־מזג וחום־לב
היה אוהב לפשר פשרות וסכסוכים, היה מתון וצנוע
בהליכותיו, רצוי ומקובל על כל אנשי עירנו כגדול
וכקטן. כעשיר ועני. היה בא לבחון את תלמידי
"התלמוד־תורה", במתינות ובפשטות, מבלי לסבך את
התלמידים. כל בניו ובנותיו היו ציונים מסורים, חדורים
רעיון תחיית א״י. בנו ושתי בנותיו חיים בארץ. ...Connected nodes
