... בשנת 1929 נתארגן ביזמת הח׳ זאב לנדו (שהיה אז מזכיר הסניף של צעירי מזרחי), ארגון נוער דתי־לאומי בשם "סיני", הראשון מסוגו בפולין. אח הגרעין לתנועה זו היו חניכי בית־הספר "המזרחי" בעיר.
