... גור ואלכסנדר היו שתי הדרכים הרחבות והמרכזיות בחסידות
פולין עד לדור אחרון זה. ולכן שררה מעין שנאת חרש בין חסידי
גור ואלכסנדר בכל מקום, ואף בבנדין, אם בי במידה פחותה. כל
אחד ראה את השני באילו סר מהדרך הישרה, מן ה״אורחא
דמהימנותא". היתכן? כיצד אפשר להיות חסיד ממש, אם לא
לנסוע לאלכסנדר? וכך ראה החסיד חגורִי בביטול את חסידי
אלכסנדר: גם הם חסידים, אינם נוסעים לגור... יחם זה התחיל
