בבנדין לא פסח, כמובן, על חסידי חנצ׳ין. כדאי לציין במיוחד
פגישה אחת של חסידי חנצ׳ין, עת תפסו הנאצים יהודים ברחובות
וגילחו את זקניהם. מרוב צער כיסו המגולחים הדתיים את פניהם
במטפחות, בהם היה הגבאי מנדיל שפיזר, חיים־איטשה קאנאל,
אברהם שפיגל, ישעי ה רוטר ואחרים. כל אחד הביט בפני חברו
המגולחים, רובם זקנים ושבעי ימים, עד שגבאי הקלויז מגידל
שפיזר לא יכול היה להתאפק ופרץ בבכי. פתאום נכנס וולף־הירש
מיצנמכר האופטימיסטן, אף הוא מגולח, והתחיל לצעוק: "מה אתם
בוכים? בעוד שעה־שעתיים יבוא הגואל האדום (הסוביטים) כביכול,
ועלינו כבר לשתות לחיים". וכה התווכחו האופטימיסטים עם
הפסימיסטים כל פעם שנפגשו, עד בא הקץ המר והאכזרי.. . ...Connected nodes
