הוא מילא את תפקידו כרב ביושר ובאמונה, בעל הדרת פנים
היה כאביו, הדור בלבושו, מטבעו מצניע לכת וטוהר מידות. התמסר
למוסדות השונים ברוח אביו, וביחוד ל״ביקור חולים". נואם ודרשן
מצליח. ירש מאביו את החיבה לרעיון הציוני, אך בגלל מלחמת
החסידים נגדו בבחירות היסס להופיע בריש גלי לצד הציונים
והמזרהים, ורק אחרי חיזוק המזרחי בפולין בכלל ובבנדי
נצטרף אליו, ואף השתתף בועידה הארצית השניה של המזרחי
בוארשה (כח ניסן־אייר תרע״ט). נתחבב על הקהל בבנדי ועמדתו
