אחר השחרור פעל לליכוד אנשי שארית הפליטה בקריינבורג,
בוואריה, בקהילה מסודרת, ועל אף גילו הצעיר נבחר נשיאה.
פעל רבות לשיפור מצבם של העקורים. משהועמדה הנהגת הקהילה
על בסיס יציב פרש מנשיאותה, והלך להשתלם. עמד בבחינת־
הבגרות, ואחר־כך למד כימיה ורפואה ברגנסבורג, התקדם יפה
בלימודיו. בשמעו שארץ ישראל נתונה להתקפת האויב, נטש לימודיו
ואת אביו, הקים קשר עם שליחי הגנה, ואחרי אימונים קצרים
בגרמניה ובצרפת, הגיע לארץ ביוני 1948. סיים קורס לקצינים
וקיבל תפקיד בגדוד של פלמ״ח. השתתף בכל קרבותיו, נפל בקרב
עירק־אל־מנשיה ב־16.10.1948. הובא למנוחת־עולמים בבית־הקברות
בנחלת־יצחק ב־29.9.1949. ...Connected nodes
