בשנת 1933, לפני הקונגרס הצױני ה־18, נוסד בחמילניק
ע״י פעילי ברית־הצה״ר (ביניהם : אלתר וינברג, ישעיהו ליגמן,
נתן ארנרײך, יצחק דב קלמוס) ארגון אחים לצה״ר ובית״ר —
ברית החײל. חברױ הױ אנשים מבוגרים אשר שרתו בצבא
הפולגי ורעױן צבא ישראל היה קרוב ללבם. בין הראשונים
שהצטרפו לברית החײל בחמילגיק היו: יצחק דב קלמוס,
פנחם בזשעםקי, װלף סמטבנד, החײט האקל, נורברט טוכמז,
משה דוד װײסר, רופא־השנײם פלוצניק. בױם הבחירות
לקונגרס הצױני ה־18 הופיעו אנשי ברית־החײל בתלבושתם
הרשמית יחד עם בית״ר. לקונגרס זה קבלו הרביזיוניםטים
בחמילניק בפעם הראשונה 160 קול. היה זה הישג גדול
בהתחשב בפולמום שהתנהל נגדם מצד בל שאר המפלגות. ...Connected nodes
