אצלם ר׳ ױחנן םילמן, בכינוױ ״ר׳ ױחנן חמילניקר״. הקלויז
הקוצקאי בחמילניק המה בשעתו מחםידים לומדים, מעמיקי
דעת, שהגו ױמם ולילה בש״ם ופוסקים׳ שהתעמקו במשנתו
של רבי מנדלי, באמרותױ ובשיחותױ, וםפגו את דברױ.
הוא העתיר מזון רוחני לאין שעור — אמרות בודדות,
