על התערותם הראשונה של חמילניקאים בארץ. החמילניקאים
נמנו בין קבוצת הבחורים הראשונה שהניחה את היםוד לאולם
״בית־העם״ ברחוב בן־יהודה, שהיה אז האולם המפואר ביותר
בארץ. הײנו אז בתל־אביב קומץ קטן של בחורים מױצאי
חמילניק, אך אין כמעט מפעל צבורי בתל־אביב מאלה אשר
גשארו על תלם וגם מאלה אשר שבקו חײם, בו לא השתתפנו
בהקמתו. ואתרע מזלי ואני גם הײתי בן חולױ הראשוגים.
ועדיץ זוכר אני את הבנײן הראשון של בית החולים ברחי
נחלת־בנימין וכאשר מדי ױם בױמו מעבירים בעגלה את
החולים, המבוגרים והילדים, למכון רנטגן פרטי בשד׳ רוטשילד,
