ראוי לציין שלא היו נהוגים אצלם ,נשואי תערובת* עם הסביבה האחרת, והם התחתנו רק
בינם לבין עצמם. הם קיימו קשרי מסחר ונסעו לשם כך בארץ כולה, אולם החתונות היו מתקיימות
רק בדוד-הורודוק. משום כך לא נתבוללו ומהווים את הצאצאים הישירים של מייסדי דוד-הורודוק
ובעורקיהם נוזל דם קוזאקים-טאטארים. מוצאם הקוזאקי-טאטארי ניכר היה גם באורח חייהם.
הם לא היו עובדי"אדמה וגם לא היתה להם נטיה לכך. בגנים שלהם טיפלו נשותיהם ותוצרתם
היתה מיועדת לצרכי ביתם בלבד. במקרה של יבול למעלה מן הרגיל, היו הנשים מוכרות את
