שמו פעמיהם אל ביתו של מאיר לייב קורמן שעשיר היה, כדי לרצחו ולשדד את רכושו. בהגיעם
לארלי"קטן -- היה זה ערב שבת -- עוד היתה השעה מוקדמת ונכנסו אצל גדליהו סוסניק,
שהיה לו בית-מרזח קטן, הם ביקשו משקה ושתו לשכרה, כשחזר גדליהו מתפילת מעריב הוציאו
את זנקו וקליני מן הבית ואילו זוכטר נרדם עַל יד השולחן. בלילה הקיץ וטבח את כל בני הבית,
חמש נפשות, וכן את גיסתם שבאה מסטולין להזמינם לחתונה. גם לאחר שביצע את מעשה הפשע,
לא פגה שכרותו של זוכטר ייש והוא נשאר ישן ליד הטבוחים. בבוקר באה הגויה לחלוב את הפרה
