שנים רבות לא היח רב בכפר. מספר בעלי הבתים עוד לא היה גדול בכדי לכלכל משפחה
של רב. נוסף לזה לא היה צורך דחוף במורה הוראה במקום. שוחט ישב בכפר, רבי שמעון ברמן,
מחסידי סטולין ומוצאו מברזניץ-דומברוביץ. גיסו לשעבר של שלמה זינגרמן. והוא היה ממלא
בשעת הצורך תפקידי רב. מורה הלכות נשים, פוסק שאלות של בשר וחלב וכדומה. איש תורני
היה ובעל מדות תרומיות. מכובד על הכל ובעל השפעה גדולה על כל יושבי הכפר, כמוהו כרב
