קיבלו חלב וביצים מדי יום ביומו. פעמיים בחודש היו חברי הועד מבקרים את החולים, מביאים
להם חבילות מזון ומעודדים אותם. הועד דאג גם לצרכיהם הדתיים של הפליטים. נרכש בית
ששימש כבית-כנסת, אף קיבל ספר-תורה מיהודי בוכרה שנמצאו במרחק 12 ק"מ מזירבולק. מדי
שבת התקיים שם ,מנין". בשעת העליות לתורה בחגים היו תורמים לצרכי הקופה המשותפת.
