השלטון המינהלתי של הצבא בלונינץ, מורכב היה סטודנטים בני רוסיה הגדולה שהיו רחוקים
מאנטישמיות. כן היו בשלטון המינהלתי גם יהודים. הודות ליהודים האלה, נמנע מספר יותר גדול
של קרבנות שודאי היו נופלים. לעיר נשלחה פלוגת עונשין עם תותחים. העיר, כמובן, נכנעה מיד.
הנוער נמלט. חיילי פלוגת העונשין קיבלו ידיים חפשיות לקחת מה שלבם חפץ -- מבלי רשות,
