אײנמאל פרײטיק פארנאכט, װען מײן פאטער מיט מײן
עלטערן ברודער, זעליק, זײנען געגאנגן צום דאװנען, האט
זײ אויפן װעג באגעגנט דער פריסטאװ ראטשטײן—וא געטויפ־
טער ײד—און ער פרעגט זײ צי זי גײען איצט ניט אין
שטיבל ארײן דאװנען. מײן פאטער האט אים געענטפערט
אז ער, דער פריסטאװ אלײן, האט דאך די טירן ״פארחתמעט״,
טא װי אזוי קען מען ארײן? זאגט דער פריסטאװ: ״גאםפאדין
שעװינסקי, מיך װעט איר דאך ניט אפנארן. איך װײס אז ײדן
געפינען אן עצה און מען גײט ארײן דורך די פענצטער״.
ענטפערט אים מײן פאטער: ״גאםפאדין פרייסטאװ, קומט מיט
מיר װעט איר זיך איבערצײגן אז מען דאװנט ניט אין שטיבל״.
ער האט דערבײ א װונק געטאן צו מײן ברודער זעליק און
יעגער איז גלײך איװעק פאראױס אנצוזאגן די מתפללים אין
שטיבל אז דער פריסטאװ קומט. צוקומענדיק צום שטיבל
האט דער פריסטאװ דערזען װי ײדן קומען ארױס דורך די
אפענע פענצטער... מײן פאטער האט געזען, אז דער פריסטאװ
