שליח יתפלל ותפילה בלחש, אלא שליח־הציבור יתפלל
בקול רם, והקהל יקשיב ויענה אמן, וכן נהגו בתפילת
שבת להשמיט את "יקוכרפורקן" ו״אב־הרחמים". בשנת
1911 עזב החזן הלפרן את משרתו, ובמקומו בא יהושע
זייטץ, חזן מברדיטשב. ההרכב האחרון של הנהלת
ה״היכל" לפני פרוץ מלחמת העולם הראשונה היה זה:
