הנסיך לובקוביץ תמך גם בבקשתו של מרדכי
ברנשטיין, יליד בדודי, מיום 10 ביוני 1828 על הקמת
בית־ספר למלאכה וביהמדרש לרבנים בלביב. ב־12
באוגוסט 1828 ענה הנסיך לובקוביץ, שהוא מוצא את
ההצעה ראויה לשבח ולתמיכה והזמין את ברנשטיין
לבוא ללבוב. בקבלו את הזמנתו עבר ברנשטיין ללבוב,
אולם בגלל הקשיים שנתקל בהם מצד האדוקים ומצד
