במאי 1912. היה אחד החזנים המושלמים בתורה
ובהשכלה, בנגינה ובאמנות הזמרה. נולד בשנת תר״מ
(1880) בעיר סאווראן פלך פודוליה להורים חסידים.
בן שמונה החל לשיר ובהיותו בן י״ג עבר בפעם
הראשונה לפני התיבה. עד גיל כ״ב שר אצל חזנים
שונים, כזיידל רובנר, שניאור, שלום גרינשפאן ועוד.
כיהן כחזן בערי רוסיה: יקטרינוסלב, זויהיל, בוריסלב,
