ר׳ יששכר־דב רוקח זצ״ל מבלזא, גאון גדול בתורה
ויראה, נהג נשיאותו ברמה והיה תקיף במחשבה
ובמעשה. בזמנו הרחיב את חסידות בלז, שמנתה
אלפים ורבבות. הורה דרך לחסידיו לא רק בחסידות
אלא אף במדיניות. חסידי בלז בלבוב עמדו בראש
בכל פעולה צבורית. בבהירות לפרלמנט האוסטרי
תרמו חסידי בלז תרומה חשובה לנצחון מפלגת
הממשלה בבחירות והכשילו את הרשימה היהודית.
שיטתה של בלז היתה לעשות הכל ובלבד שלא להיות
