החל הע ל הנושא של עירובין בעיר, בעוד שהרב ר״ל
ברוידא פסק שמותר לטלטל בכל שטחי־העיר. אסר הרב
ברז״פ את הטלטול בכלל. חסידי קלויז־בזל אסרו מלחמה
על כל דבר חדש — "חדש אסור מן התורה" כקנאים
וקיצוניים ניהלו מלחמה עד חרמה נגד כל ארגון,
ובמיוחד נגד כל ארגון ציוני. הם עמדו כל השנים
לימין המתבוללים בלבוב, ותמכו במדיניות הנוטים
לצד הממשלה. יהודי שנכנס לקלויז בצוארון לבן
מגוהץ — הורחק מיד מחברתם. כל תלבושת חדישה
במקצת היתה אסורה בהחלט. עניבה היתה בבחינת
"בל יראה ובל ימצא". בקלויז ובביהכנ״ס אסור היה
להשתמש בחשמל או בגאז, בנימוק שהאינסטלציה
החשמלית עוברת, להבדיל, גם בכנסיות של נוצרים.
