וו) יונה גורלאנד, המו״ל של הקונטרס, מניח שהוא
היה רוקח בעיר וולאדימיר — ווהלין, חיבר ספר "סם
החיים", ספר מוסר בחרוזים עם תרגום באידיש, נדפס
בשנת ש״ן (1590). השערה זו לא נראתה לו מבוססת למדי,
ולפי דעתו היה המחבר אחד מגולי פולין שברח לויניציה
עם חבורו בידו. כאן ביקש הסכמה מר׳ משה זכות, שכתב
שיר קטן בראש החיבור. אולם הספר לא נדפס ונמצא
בבריטיש מתיאום, בלונדון, בעזבונו של יוסף אלמנצי. עד
