בתחילה לא רצה לשוב לנצרות, אך כשהצביעו על העונש הצפוי לו, הסכים להישאר כנוצרי. ואז התחילו לחקור מי ואיך הסיתוהו לשוב אל היהדות. אחרי עינויים קשים הודה כי יהודי אחד, ושמו משה, הכניסו למרתף בבית הרב, ושברו צלב שנשא אתו. נוכחו במעשה רבנים שהשמיצו את הדת הנוצרית. על יסוד הודאתו ציווה הסטרוסטה של לבוב לאסור את הרבנים מלבוב, דרוהוביץ, סטרי. רב הגליל של לבוב, ר׳ חיים, היה בזולקוב, וכשבאו לאסרו, הצליח לברוח. במקומו נאסרו אמו ומנהיג קהלת זולקוב,Connected nodes
