המאה הי״ג. לא ידוע עד היום, ולא נתגלו שום
עקבות של בית־קברות יהודי אחר, לא בגבולותיה של
לבוב העתיקה ולא בפרבריה. לפיכך יש להניח שמיום
הווסדה של הקהילה היהודית בלבוב עד שנת 1855,
ז״א עד סגירתו, שימש בית־העלמין הישן שע״י רחוב
שפיטאלנה, בית־מועד לכל חי, לכל התושבים היהודים
בלבוב, על שתי קהלותיה: בק״ק תוך־העיר, בפרבר
קרקא, שהיא הקהילה העיקרית והראשונה ליהודי לבוב,
