נראה שהאיסור לא היעיל, כי 21 שנה אחרי
פרסומו, מוח ה בא־כח העיריה נגד יהודים, שאינם
מסתפקים רק בחכירת מגרשים ובתים נוצריים אלא
גם קונים את הרכוש. אחרי סכסוכים ונסיון של פינוי
בכוח קבעו כל המערדו ת והלאומים של העיר בשנת
1709 תקנה (וילקירז) הגוזרת על התושבים הנוצריים
איסור להשכיר ליהודים דירות וחנויות. התקנה
אושרה גם ע״י המלך אוגוסט 11 ב־11 באפריל 1710.
