"קובע עתים לתורה". בעידודו של הגאון ר׳ יוסף שאול נתנזון קנו בעלי־בתים חשובים מגרש ברחוב שפיטאלנא, פנת קאזימירזובסקא, לשם הקמת ביכנ״ס במקום. מחוסר כסף מכרו 2 חנויות בקצה הבית, לצד הרחוב. הבנין המפואר הכיל 2 קומות: קומה א׳ — בית־כנסת גדול ויפה; קומה ב׳ — בית־מדרש, סוכה נאה ודירה לשמש.
