... נחמנוביץ. ברשותו נמצאות תחנות מכס בחלם, קראס־ ניסטאב ופוטיליטש, שם חכר בחכירת־משנה את המכס מידי האצילים הפולנים, ואצל בואהרוביצקי ופאבל אורזכובסקי. בשנת 1595 הואשם על סחיטת כספים מן הסוחר סבסטיאן פוגט מדאנציג ופוטר מכהונתו. אולם כעבור זמן קצר מצא שותף חדש וחכר שלוש טחנות, בריכוודדגים, מס־שוק, מס־משקאות בלבוב ופשמישל. כנראה שריכז בידיו עסקים רבי היקף. סופו היה טראגי: בשנת 1607 התנפלו עליו העגלון שלו יאן ומשרתו אברהם, ולאחר שהרגוהו ושדדו ממנו הכל נמלטו. בנו, לבקו (לוי), קנה בשנת 1618 את ביתו של המשומד יאן באפטיסט פולטוביץ, אחרי שהוכרח לעזוב את הרובע היהודי בחוץ־לעיר 3). ...
