מאות אלפי יהודים עברו את המחנה היאנובי.
מספרם נאמד ב־300.000 עד 400.000; לפחות 200.000
נרצחו במקומות ההרג "על החולות" וביער של
ליסיניצא. ברם, מספר התושבים ששהו במחנה היה
קטן ביחס למספרים אלה. כל החומר הסטטיסטי
הרשמי של המחנה אבד או נשמד ע״י הגרמנים
לפני בריחתם. רק רשימה אחת נשתמרה בתוך
סקירתו הסטטיסטית של שר־העיר (שטאדט־הויפט־
מאן) בלבוב — דו״ח המפקד שערכו הגרמנים בלבוב
ב־1 למרץ 1943. הרשימה אומרת כי מספר היהודים
בלבוב הוא — אפס׳ ומספר היהודים במחנה היאנובי
— 15.000. (המסמך — בארכיון האקדמיה האוקראי־
נית למדעים ׳סניף לבוב׳ המחלקה הכלכלית). נראה,
שיש הגזמה בדברים אלו. לפי העדים היהודים לא
