ההונגרים את השלטון בכל האזור. הם ציוו על כשלושת אלפים
מיהודי הונגריה, שהוחזקו באורינין, להתרכז בשדה באמתלה
שיוחזרו לבתיהם. הם חוסלו, רובם ככולם, במטחי מכונות יריה
ורק מעטים הצליחו להמלט מהטבח. שלושה נערים מהניצולים
הגיעו לסקאלה וסיפרו על הרצח הנורא שבוצע,כידוע,על ידי אחת
מיחידות הרוצחים, ה״איינזאצגרופפן״ הידועות לשמצה ולדראון
עולם. הנערים נשארו זמן מה בסקאלה ובגבור הסכנה, עם
התקרבות השואה השיג בשבילם ה״יודנראט״ תעודות-מעבר
לגבול ההונגרי בהתאם לרצונם. הם קיוו להציל חייהם בסביבה
המוכרת להם ושלא היתה נתונה לשלטון הנאצי הישיר. ואמנם
נצלו שלושתם: צבי זליקוביץ הוא חבר במושב נורדיה שליד נתניה,
