ליצואן, שעסקיו אף מעבר לים. עוד במחצית המאה ה־19 רכשו שני
יהודים עשירים אחוזות חקלאיות בסביבת סקאלה: יהושע דרימר
(בכפר בוסירי) ואליעזר זיידמן(בכפר קריבץ).
בכלכלת יהודי סקאלה נודעה חשיבות מרובה לבתי־הבד
לייצור שמנים אתיריים שיוצאו אף לחו״ל. את החמרים לייצור
שמנים אלה ייבאו מרוסיה. בית־מבשל בירה בבעלותם של
הרוזנים גולוכובסקי הוחכר לשני יהודים ותוצרתו אף היא היתה
מיוצאת לחו״ל. כמו־כן הושכרה ליהודים טחנת־קמח הגדולה של
הרוזנים. בבעלותם של יהודים היתה גם משרפת היי״ש ובית
חרושת לליקרים, אשר שווקו באזור כולו. שני יהודים עסקו ביבואConnected nodes
