הישן (מהמאה הי״ז) שהיה בנוי עץ. ידוע, שאחרי
ד.ר.שמדות, מלחמות ופרעות, שריפות או רקבון־עץ, הלך
ונתמעט מספר בתי־הכנסת הבנויים עץ, וכאן נשתמר
בית־הכנסת, שעורר ענין רב אצל שוחרי האמנות
היהודית, כיד.ודים כנוצרים, שהתענינו והקדישו לה
