הפולנית העצמאית. היתה עיר בגליל טרוקי, והשתייכה
למחוז גרודנה ולאזור כלכלתה. העיר שוכנת על גדות
הנהר סוקולקה, שבראשיתו הוא זורם אל נהר סופראשל.
בשנת 1765 ישבו בסוקולקה והסביבה 522 יהודים.
החיים זרמו בה, כמו בשאר הערים והעיירות, בלי שאירעו
