הגרמנים למחנה הריכוז בדכאו, או לשטחי הגנרל־גוברנמנט, אולם
עובדה היא, שלא היו פעולות חבלה מקיפות במחוזנו. רק בשתי
העיירות הסמוכות לנו, בפילץ ובוולברום, פעלה מחתרת פולנית.
מהעתונים הגרמניים המקומיים נודע לנו על התנפלויוּת שנערכו
על תחנות משטרה, התפוצצות של מחסני נשק, רצח גרמנים ושוטרים
פולניים וכר. באנו בדברים עם הנשיא של היודנראט מפילץ.
םוגל, שעמד בקשרים עם המחתרת הפולנית, בדבר סידור חברינו
אצל הפרטיזנים הפולנים. אולם הדבר לא היה בגדר ביצוע, כי
הפרטיזנים במקום זה לא התרכזו במחנות או ביערות (סביבתנו
דלה מאד ביערות) אלא באים היו מתוך האוכלוסיה המקומית
בעיירה או בכפרים, עורכים התנפלויוּת לפי תכניות מוכנות מראש,
מבצעים מעשי־חבלה ומתפזרים חזרה לבתיהם. בעזרתו של פוגל
באנו בקשרים עם אחד ששמו טרלה מוולברום, והוא שעזר לנו
