למען הציונות בעירנו. המשימה העיקרית של הציונים, שהיו
מאורגנים בהסתדרות הידועה בשם "אגודת הציונים", התבטאה
באיסוף כספים למען הקרן הקימת לישראל וה״קאלאניאל באנק",
שמניותיו נפוצו בעירנו בשלהי המאה ה־19 בסכום של שבעת
