■•במכרות הפחם. להזדמנות זו חכיתי מזמן. הבקור במכרות
קשור בקשיים פורמליים מטעם החברה. רוב החברים, ילידי המחוז,
לא היתה להם מעולם הזדמנות לרדת למכרות ולראותן מקרוב.
הפעם ניתנה לי הזדמנות כזו על ידי החבר הפולני סטאנצ׳יק,
חבר הסיים ומנהיג פועלי המכרות של מחוז זה. סטאנצ׳יק בא
לברכני באספת העם לבנדין בשם הפ.פ.ם., ובהזדמנות זו, ביקשתיו
לעזור לי בענין הרשיון, ונתן לי מכתב למשרד האגודות המקצועיות
שבקטוביץ. המכתב הזה עמד לי להשיג בעזרתו את הרשיון המבוקש

באותה אסיפה הופיעו נציגי כל הזרמים ובירכו את האורח
היקר ואיחלו לו הצלחה בשליחותו הנשגבה. באסיפה זו הופיע גם
חבר הסיים הפולני סטאנצ׳יק, שבא לברך את האורח בשם
מפלגת פפ״ם. מיותר להדגיש, שעידנו, שהצטיינה מאז ומתמיד
בכל המגביוֹת למען ארץ־ישראל, נתנה את ידה גם למפעל זה,
